Publications Manager at Seattle Symphony

Leilani Polk is currently the Publications Manager at Seattle Symphony. Leilani has previous experience as a writer, editor, and volunteer for the Tubman Center for Health and Freedom, and as the Managing Editor for The Stranger.

In their role at The Stranger, Leilani was responsible for managing people and content for both print and web, coming up with ideas and writing for various sections of the paper, working with the digital editor to maintain the website and blog, managing the editorial department budget, and contributing to special print editions. Leilani also organized all critics’ event calendar picks and produced numerous picks as needed.

Leilani’s experience in writing, editing, and managing content makes their an excellent Publications Manager at Seattle Symphony. In this role, they are responsible for overseeing all publications produced by the Symphony, including but not limited to books, programs, brochures, and newsletters. Leilani also manages the Symphony’s website and social media platforms.

Leilani Polk has a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the University of South Florida and an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Hillsborough Community College.
