Rick Place

Rick Place is a seasoned professional with over 40 years of experience in after sales, quality, and manufacturing engineering. Currently serving as Director of After Sales/Quality at Groupe SEB North America since 2002, Rick oversees after sales and service operations across the U.S. and North America, managing a $6 million budget and a team of 30. Key accomplishments include reducing warranty expenses by $6.6 million during company mergers and establishing ISO QSE certification processes. Previously, as Senior Manager of Manufacturing Engineering at Black & Decker, Rick led significant new product development projects, including a $3.5 million DeWalt angle grinder initiative with a Six Sigma focus. Rick holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Wilmington University and a Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Brigham Young University.
