Amy Stahl Cotter

Amy Stahl Cotter has extensive experience in the legal field, particularly within the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, where roles have included Senior Counsel in the Asset Management Unit and Assistant Regional Director since July 2009. Prior to this, Amy served as Senior Trial Counsel and Senior Attorney at the Commission from September 1998 to November 2003 and began as a Staff Attorney from September 1996 to September 1998. A career break as a stay-at-home mom occurred from November 2003 to July 2009. Amy holds a J.D. from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, where studies were completed from 1993 to 1996, and a B.A. in Classical Studies and History from Cornell College, earned from 1987 to 1991.
