Austin Stephenson

Austin Stephenson has an extensive legal background, including experience as an Associate at Kirkland & Ellis LLP from January 2017 to September 2020, a Judicial Law Clerk at both the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois from January 2016 to January 2017, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit from September 2011 to September 2012. Currently, Austin serves as an Attorney at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, a position held since October 2020, following a brief tenure as a Partner at Kirkland & Ellis in September and October 2020. Prior experience includes working as an Attorney Advisor and Senior Counsel to the Associate Directors at the SEC's Division of Corporation Finance from January 2013 to January 2015. Austin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from The University of Chicago and a Juris Doctor from DePaul University College of Law.
