Ayana Williams

Ayana Williams is a Counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission since August 2023, having previously served as a Senior Associate and Associate at WilmerHale from November 2018 to June 2023. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Articles Editor for the Howard Law Journal and Summer Associate at WilmerHale while also interning at the United States Attorney's Office in the Special Proceedings Division. Ayana was an Investigator at the Children's Law Center, focusing on custody and adoption cases, and worked as a Paralegal at Covington & Burling, handling pharmaceutical liability and pro bono matters. Additional experience includes volunteering with the Petey Greene Program, teaching GED materials, and serving as a Project Assistant at Gilbert LLP. Ayana holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Howard University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature from Princeton University.
