Brady Cassis currently serves as Counsel in the Complex Financial Instruments Unit of the Division of Enforcement at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission since August 2023. Prior experience includes working as an Associate in Government Investigations and White Collar Defense at Paul Hastings from April 2019 to July 2023 and as an Associate at Steptoe & Johnson LLP from September 2016 to April 2019, specializing in International Regulatory & Compliance, Regulatory Litigation, and White Collar Defense. Brady also gained legal experience as a Summer Associate Law Clerk at Steptoe & Johnson LLP and as a Summer Legal Intern with the U.S. Department of Justice. Earlier roles include serving as Associate Director for State Outreach at the Mercatus Center and Research Director for Newt 2012. Educational qualifications include a JD from Harvard Law School and a BA in History and International Studies from Yale University. Additionally, Brady completed German language studies at the Goethe-Institut in Dresden.
