Charles Watson serves as the Assistant Chief Risk Officer at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission since August 2019. Prior to this role, Charles held positions at the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency as a Security Assessment & Authorization Specialist and at the General Services Administration as an Information System Security Officer. Additional experience includes serving as a Senior Information Security Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, an Information Assurance Analyst at V-Tech Solutions Inc, and an Information Assurance Systems Engineer at BAE Systems. Charles began the career as a Network Patent Examiner for the United States and previously worked as a Network Engineer at Howard Road Academy. Charles holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Morgan State University, as well as a Master of Science in Information Technology with a focus on Information Assurance from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
