Dan Barry

Dan Barry currently serves as the Chief Steward for the Union representing all Non-Management SEC Employees at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission since December 2013, where responsibilities include negotiating pay and benefits and representing bargaining unit employees in employment matters. Barry has been with the SEC's Enforcement Division since 2000 as a Senior Counsel, focusing on investigating and prosecuting violations of federal securities laws. Prior experience includes roles as a Corporate Attorney at Welch Foods, Inc. and an Enforcement Attorney at the Federal Trade Commission, as well as a Judicial Clerk for the Supreme Judicial Court for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Organizational Behavior & Management from Brown University.
