Daniel Griffin is a Senior Counsel in the Asset Management Unit at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, a position held since 2023. Previously, they served as an Assistant Chief in the Fraud Section at the U.S. Department of Justice from 2018 to 2023 and as an Assistant United States Attorney from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, Daniel worked as an Assistant State's Attorney at the Cook County State's Attorneys Office from 2006 to 2015. In addition to their legal career, they have been a Judge Advocate in the United States Army Reserve since 2010, currently holding the rank of Major. Daniel is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in English Literature and History at St. Ambrose University.
