Eric Phillips has extensive legal experience, currently serving as Supervisory Trial Counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission since November 2003, where responsibilities include managing contested enforcement actions in the Chicago Regional Office. Previously, Phillips held roles as Senior Trial Counsel and Branch Chief, overseeing investigations into securities fraud and managing a team of attorneys. Prior to joining the SEC, Phillips worked as Litigation Senior Counsel at Foley & Lardner LLP and as a Litigation Associate at Hopkins & Sutter, focusing on various litigation matters. Phillips earned a Juris Doctor degree from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Michigan.
