Grant Gartman

Grant Gartman is an experienced legal professional currently serving as an Assistant Director at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), where they lead a national team focusing on compliance examinations of various financial entities. Prior to this role, Grant was part of the SEC leadership team that established the FINRA and Securities Industry Oversight Group, and they previously served as Senior Special Counsel and Senior Counsel, advising on critical issues related to market structure and compliance. Grant began their career as Legal Counsel at the Investor Responsibility Research Center, providing guidance on corporate governance and compliance matters for diverse financial service clients. They hold a Juris Doctor from the American University Washington College of Law and bachelor's degrees in Economics from Pepperdine University.
