Ivan Griswold is currently serving as Counsel to Commissioner Mark T. Uyeda at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. Previously, Ivan worked as Corporations Counsel for the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation from 2008 to 2012, where they analyzed securities offerings and drafted legislative analyses. Ivan also held roles as Senior Counsel in the Division of Corporation Finance and Attorney-Adviser in the Division of Examinations at the SEC, focusing on compliance evaluations and reviews of public offerings. Ivan is currently pursuing a Doctor of Law degree in International Law and Legal Studies at the University of the Pacific - McGeorge School of Law while also studying Political Science at UC Santa Barbara.
