James Carlson is a highly experienced legal professional currently serving as Supervisory Trial Counsel at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission since August 2010. With a robust background in federal securities law, James has advised SEC Commissioners on investigations and litigation strategies, and has held significant roles including Assistant Chief Litigation Counsel and Senior Trial Counsel, where notable achievements included leading high-profile trials and successful settlement negotiations. Prior to joining the SEC, James was a Partner at Ungaretti & Harris LLP, managing complex commercial litigation cases, and began the career as an Associate at Goldberg Kohn.
