Jeffrey Berger

Jeffrey Berger is currently the Assistant General Counsel in the Appellate Division at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, a position held since 2023. Previously, Jeffrey served as Senior Litigation Counsel at the same agency from 2009 to 2024. Jeffrey began their career as a Clerk to the Honorable Judge Karen Nelson Moore at the U.S. Court of Appeals from 2003 to 2004, and they worked as an Associate at Mayer Brown from 2004 to 2009. Jeffrey earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Northwestern University School of Law between 2000 and 2003, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Brown University, graduated in 1999.
