John Dugan

Associate Director, Enforcement Division, Boston Regional Office

John Dugan has extensive experience in securities enforcement, currently serving as Associate Director of the Enforcement Division at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), overseeing operations in the New England region since October 2006. Dugan has held various leadership roles at the SEC, including Co-Acting Regional Director and Acting Regional Director, where responsibilities included managing large teams and the overall enforcement and examination programs. Prior to joining the SEC, Dugan worked as an attorney at the Federal Trade Commission from 1993 to 1999. Dugan earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from The George Washington University Law School and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in History from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
