John Polise is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in securities regulation and oversight. Currently serving as Senior Special Counsel in the Division of Examinations at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission since August 2000, John has held various leadership roles including Associate Director in both Market Oversight and Broker-Dealer and Exchanges. Additionally, John has been an Adjunct Professor at George Mason University's Antonin Scalia Law School since January 2010, where instruction focuses on Securities Law & Regulation. Prior to this, John held a director position at FINRA from June 1998 to August 2000. John Polise earned a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law and a Bachelor's Degree in European History from the University of Pennsylvania.
