Jonathan Cook

Jonathan Cook is an experienced economist currently serving as an economist at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission since July 2021 and as a research associate at Oeste Corp's Division of Research and Statistics since June 2020. Previously, Jonathan held key positions at the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) from November 2013 to June 2021, including lead data scientist and financial economist, where Jonathan led machine learning and data analytics projects and conducted independent research. With a strong academic background, Jonathan has served as adjunct faculty at Johns Hopkins University, Graduate School USA, and Irvine Valley College, teaching various economics and statistics courses. Jonathan's educational credentials include a PhD and MA in Economics from UC Irvine, an MA in Mathematical Behavioral Sciences from UC Irvine, and a BS in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from Towson University.
