Lochlann Boyle

Counsel To The Director at Securities and Exchange Commission

Lochlann Boyle serves as Counsel to the Director at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission since April 2008, advising on examination-related issues and administrative policy while coordinating presentations and Congressional testimony. Previous roles at the SEC include Examination Manager in the FINRA and Securities Industry Oversight Group, where management of attorney and accountant teams occurred, and leadership of the Blockchain Task Force took place. Earlier positions involved analyzing legal issues as Branch Chief in the Office of Market Oversight and participating in SRO examinations as an Attorney. Prior to the SEC, Lochlann worked as an Associate at Fried Frank, focused on securities regulation, and as a Business Development Specialist at The Louis Berger Group, securing significant USAID contracts. Lochlann also served as Project Director for the Institute for Multi-Track Diplomacy, earning recognition for contributions to peace-building. Educational qualifications include a JD from American University Washington College of Law, an MA in International Studies from the University of Warwick, and a BA from Queen's University.
