Magdalena Camillo

Magdalena Camillo is a Senior Special Counsel at the US Securities and Exchange Commission, a position held since October 2010. Prior to this role, Magdalena was an Associate at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP from September 2005 to March 2010, where responsibilities included working on deal teams for public and private mergers and acquisitions, coordinating due diligence, drafting and negotiating transaction agreements, and advising clients on contract matters. Magdalena holds a Juris Doctor degree from American University Washington College of Law (2005) and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Economics, Spanish, and International Relations from the University of Rochester (2002). Additionally, Magdalena participated in a study abroad program at Universidad Complutense de Madrid in 2000.
