Michael Brennan

Michael Brennan currently serves as Associate Director in the Division of Enforcement at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, a position held since November 2024. Prior to this role, Michael was Assistant Director of the Crypto Assets and Cyber Unit within the same division from September 2014 to September 2022, and began his career at the SEC as a Staff Attorney. Michael also worked as an Associate at Hogan Lovells US LLP from September 2008 to September 2014. Michael holds a Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School, earned between 2005 and 2008, and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from William & Mary, obtained from 2001 to 2005.
