Morgan Macdonald is a legal professional with extensive experience in international affairs and regulatory compliance. Currently serving as Acting Deputy Director at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission since November 2015, Morgan has held various leadership positions within the Office of International Affairs, including Assistant Director and Senior Special Counsel. Prior to this role, Morgan was the Program Director and Senior Attorney at the Capital Area Immigrants' Rights (CAIR) Coalition and worked as an Associate Attorney at Richards Kibbe & Orbe LLP and Fried Frank LLP. Early legal experience includes serving as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Robert I. Richter at the Superior Court for the District of Columbia. Morgan holds a JD from The George Washington University Law School and a BA in Political Science from The Johns Hopkins University, with early education at Loyola Academy.
