Regis Amarger

Regis Amarger has extensive experience in risk management within the financial services sector, currently serving as a Fellow in the Risk and Enforcement Office of the US Securities and Exchange Commission since June 2013. Previous roles include Senior Manager and Head of Middle Office at National Bank of Canada, overseeing market risk management, and Americas Head of Investment Risk Management at Deutsche Asset Management, where investment risk oversight and performance analysis were key responsibilities. Additional experience includes positions as Senior Risk Manager at Goldman Sachs and FleetBoston Financial, emphasizing market risk management and implementation of Basel capital standards. Early career tenure involved market risk management at Nomura Securities and software development for fixed income securities. Amarger holds an M.S. in Chemical Engineering from ENSIC, obtained between 1985 and 1988, and also served as a Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University focused on modeling and optimization.
