Ted Yu currently serves as the Associate Director of Specialized Policy and Disclosure in the Division of Corporation Finance at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, a position held since 2016. In this role, Ted Yu is a key member of the Division’s senior staff leadership, overseeing the offices responsible for Mergers and Acquisitions, International Corporate Finance, and Structured Finance. Prior to this, Ted Yu was the Chief of the Office of Mergers and Acquisitions at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP and held multiple roles at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission from 2011 to 2015, including Senior Advisor to Chair Mary Jo White and Senior Special Counsel. Ted Yu holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University and a Doctor of Law degree from The George Washington University Law School.
