Maurizio Tognolini

Maurizio Tognolini is an accomplished academic and industry professional with extensive experience in industrial automation and electronics. As the Institute Director at HEIG-VD since September 2008, Maurizio oversees operations with a team of 50 full-time employees and leads applied research and teaching in the field of Industrial Electronics and Real Time Signal Processing as an Ordinary Professor. Additionally, Maurizio serves as a Product Manager for AC breakers at Sécheron SA, focusing on high voltage main AC switch development since January 2014. Maurizio co-founded Balmer Informatique SARL in January 2006 as an administrator and previously held the position of Responsable department SPARK at Agie Charmilles New Technologies from 1997 to 2003, managing a team in Power Electronics development. Educational qualifications include a master's degree in electrical engineering from EPFL and a degree in telecommunications from HEIG-VD.
