Duarte Cecílio

Duarte Cecílio is a software engineer at Secil since July 2021, focusing on Digital Transformation projects involving Unified Namespace and machine learning/deep learning and artificial intelligence. Duarte served as an invited assistant professor at Instituto Superior Técnico in mid-2023, teaching an introductory course on Computational Fluid Dynamics for the Chemical Engineering MSc program. Additionally, Duarte worked as a teaching assistant in the Chemical Engineering department from February 2016 to August 2021, primarily focusing on the digitalization of learning resources. Prior experience includes a Ph.D. focused on novel polyolefin catalysts and an academic internship at LCPP - C2P2 in Lyon, where Duarte developed thermodynamic models for polyolefin production. Duarte holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Superior Técnico and an Integrated Master's Degree in the same field, along with a high school diploma in Sciences and Technology from Colégio do Sagrado Coração de Maria - Lisboa.
