SECO Energy was founded in 1938. It is one of the largest electric distribution cooperatives in the nation, serving more than 220,000 homes and businesses in seven counties across Central Florida. We are owned by the people we serve - called members. SECO Energy is conveniently located between Tampa, Orlando and Gainesville.  

SECO’s 2017 American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI) score is 88. In 2015, 2016 and 2017 SECO Energy received the J.D. Power award for highest customer satisfaction in its segment. This institution is an equal opportunity provider and employer.
