Nancy Brumbaugh has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Nancy began their career as the General Manager at Rax Restaurant from February 1983 to April 1987. From there, they joined Albertsons as a Management Staff member from December 1991 to January 2004. Following their time at Albertsons, Nancy worked at Orange County Public Schools, starting in October 2004. During their tenure, they held the position of Central Kitchen Manager, overseeing the ordering, production, and delivery of cold prep items to fourteen schools. Nancy also managed the Ocoee High School Food Service Program and served on the Executive Board for the Florida School Nutrition Association. In 2014, Nancy joined Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida as the Food Service Director. Nancy later became the Vice President of Food Services in December 2020 and currently serves as the Chief Food Service Officer, a position they have held since April 2022.
Nancy Brumbaugh pursued their education at several institutions. From 1978 to 1982, they attended Western Carolina University, where they obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree with a major in Physics and a minor in Business. During the same period, they also attended Montreat College, earning an Associate's Degree in Physical Sciences. Additionally, Nancy enrolled at Warner University, focusing on Organizational Management in the field of Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management. Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida (SHFBCF) is a member of Feeding America – the largest charitable domestic hunger-relief organization in the United States. SHFBCF secures and distributes food and grocery products to more than 625 local nonprofit feeding partners throughout Central Florida. Through the help of food and financial donors, volunteers and a caring, committed community, the food bank distributes 300,000 meals every day to a seven-county service area.
