Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida
William Collins has a strong background in operations and management. William started their career in 1982 as the Director of Operations at Arrow Farms Inc, where they worked until 2005. From 2006 to 2014, William served as the General Manager at Railex. Since 2014, they have been working as the Chief Operating Officer at Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.
William Collins attended the University of Massachusetts Amherst from 1981 to 1985, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Management. William also attended the Unversity Of Massachusetts at Amherst during the same period, where they earned a BS degree in Food Service.
In terms of additional certifications, William Collins obtained the certification of Certified Family Court Mediator from the Florida Supreme Court in December 2021. Prior to that, in August 2021, they obtained the certification of Certified Court Mediator, also from the Florida Supreme Court. Lastly, they obtained the Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (ICGB) certification from Lockheed Martin in March 2018.

Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida (SHFBCF) is a member of Feeding America – the largest charitable domestic hunger-relief organization in the United States. SHFBCF secures and distributes food and grocery products to more than 625 local nonprofit feeding partners throughout Central Florida. Through the help of food and financial donors, volunteers and a caring, committed community, the food bank distributes 300,000 meals every day to a seven-county service area. Feeding neighbors facing hunger is only the beginning. By investing in job training programs, advocating for access to nutritious foods, and inspiring our community to get involved, SHFBCF is leaning into the root causes of hunger and helping our neighbors thrive.
