Nancy Keil

Nancy Keil has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Nancy currently serves as the President & CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee since July 2019. Prior to this role, they held the position of Chief Development & Marketing Officer at the same organization from March 2014 to June 2019.

Before joining Second Harvest Food Bank, Nancy Keil had their own consulting firm, KEIL Consulting, where they worked as the Principal from January 2011 to January 2016.

Their experience in the restaurant industry includes their role as Vice President Marketing at O'Charley's from December 2008 to November 2010. At O'Charley's, they were responsible for developing and executing the marketing strategy and brand development efforts. Nancy also had oversight of Stoney River marketing strategic direction.

Nancy Keil's extensive career in marketing and innovation began at Applebee's in 1991, where they served as the Vice President Marketing & Innovation. During their time at Applebee's, they played a crucial role in growing the brand from 50 restaurants to over 2,000 restaurants. Their responsibilities included defining the brand strategy, driving innovation, and overseeing various marketing functions such as advertising, promotion, media, menu, and communications.

Prior to their tenure at Applebee's, Nancy Keil held the position of Marketing Advertising Director at Forest City Enterprises from 1988 to 1991, as well as at Herring Marathon Group from 1983 to 1988.

Nancy Keil completed their education in a chronological manner. Nancy first attended Arkansas High School, although the specific years of attendance are unknown. Following high school, they went on to attend the University of Arkansas from 1979 to 1983, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. Later, in 2005 to 2006, Nancy pursued further education at Rockhurst University, where they obtained an Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) degree with a specialization in Business.
