Allison Costner is currently serving as the Regional Partnership Manager at Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest NC since August 2023. Previously, Allison worked as a server at Gideon Ridge Restaurant and Inn from September 2022 to August 2023 and completed an internship at Hunger and Health Coalition from August 2022 to December 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a server and event staff member at Blowing Rock Country Club and as a sales assistant at Appalachian Antique Mall, where responsibilities included conducting sales and facilitating communication between vendors and customers. Additionally, Allison interned at Food Rescue US and worked at Great Harvest Bread Co. as a sales assistant and bread bagger. Allison holds a degree in Sociology with a focus on Social Inequalities from Appalachian State University, completed in 2022.

Second Harvest Food Bank of NWNC moves rescued and donated food throughout the 18 counties of Northwest North Carolina to families in need. Together, with over 450 on the ground non profit partners, we work to get food to the people and the corners of our communities that need it most. Special focus areas include childhood hunger, healthy food initiatives, advocacy work, and our social entrepreneurship programs, Triad Community Kitchen culinary program and Providence Restaurant.
