Joanne Marquez is an experienced professional with a background in community engagement and education, holding a Bachelor of Science in Community Engagement and Education and an Administrators Credential in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Joanne has served as an Agency Representative at Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin and was previously employed as a Food Program Coordinator at the YMCA of Dane County from August 2013 to January 2021. Additionally, Joanne worked as a Program Director at Sunny Day Preschool and Daycare Center from February 2008 to June 2013. Joanne also possesses an Associate's degree in Interior Design from Milwaukee Area Technical College.

Through core services of food acquisition & storage, food distribution, and FoodShare Outreach, SHFB provides people facing hunger access to enough nutritious food to thrive, serving the sixteen counties in Southern Wisconsin. Second Harvest exists to end hunger in Southwestern Wisconsin, with the belief that healthy food belongs to all. Since 1986, Second Harvest has worked with a network of over 300 food distribution partners to achieve the goals of nutrition security and food equity for all.
