Alexander Mize has had a varied and extensive work experience. In 2021, they were the Operations Lead and Operations Coordinator at Second Order Effects, Inc. Prior to this, they were a Customer Success Consultant at QGenda from 2020. In 2019, they were a Decorative Paint Operations Intern at Boeing, where they performed cross-functional interviews and presented discrepancies between incentives, goals, and practices to advise management. In 2018, they were a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan, teaching labs and holding office hours to aid students. In 2017, they were a Researcher at the Center of Healthcare Engineering and Patient Safety. In 2016, they were a Product Development and Analytics Intern at General Motors and a Research Assistant at The Human-automation Interaction and Cognition Lab (THInC). Finally, in 2015, they were a Student Researcher at Ecology Project International.
Alexander Mize began their educational journey in 2010 when they attended Grandville High School. Alexander graduated in 2014 and continued their studies at the University of Michigan College of Engineering, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Operations Engineering in 2018. Alexander then pursued a Master's of Science in Engineering in Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan - Rackham Graduate School, which they completed in 2020. In 2021, they obtained a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification from the University of Michigan.
