Secondhand Hounds

Secondhand Hounds is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue group based in Minnetonka, MN. Secondhand Hounds is the voice for many mistreated animals around the Midwest that end up homeless, shelter bound, or at the unfortunate end of their lives. At Secondhand Hounds, our primary goal is to provide a second chance at life for these animals! Our organization provides safe shelter, proper veterinary care and daily necessities for animals at risk, while working hard to find each a permanent, loving home. Secondhand Hounds does not have a shelter facility. All of the animals in our program are placed in loving foster homes until they are adopted. We require that all dogs and cats adopted through Secondhand Hounds are spayed/neutered to help prevent over-population of animals in the United States. As animal advocates, we also aim to educate the public on the importance of proper pet care and provide necessary resources to pet owners.
