Tom Droste's work experience begins in 2012 when they worked as a Developer and then as a Stagiair at DO-IT Online. Tom also became a Microsoft Student Partner during their time at Microsoft Nederland, where they built apps and demos, demonstrated new technologies, and hosted tech events. In 2013, they founded NextGen Applications and worked as its Founder and Developer. Tom later started NextGen Students in 2015. From 2013 to 2022, Tom has been involved with WorldSkills Netherlands, serving in various roles such as a Jurylid, Juryvoorzitter, Wedstrijdorganisator, and Wedstrijdschrijver for different editions. Since 2016, they have been working at Secret View, starting as a Full-stack Developer and transitioning to Lead Developer and eventually becoming a Technical Lead. In this role, they oversee all technical matters, leads the Product Development team, and collaborates on developing the Secret View platform.
Tom Droste's education history begins in 2010 when they attended Graafschap College Doetinchem, where they obtained a degree in "MBO niveau 4" in the field of Applicatieontwikkelaar. Tom also attended Graafschap College from 2010 to 2012, where they earned a degree in "MBO Niveau 3" in the field of Medewerker Beheer ICT.
From 2013 to 2017, Tom Droste studied Information Technology at Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen (HAN), although the specific degree achieved during this time period is not specified.
In addition to their formal education, Tom Droste obtained the MTA: Software Development Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in November 2014.
