Asad Chaudhri

Asad Chaudhri is an Associate Director based in London. He is a Quantum, Delay and Disruption specialist, with a background in quantity surveying consultancy, planning, procurement, and project strategy development. Mr. Chaudhri’s varied experience lends itself to skillful and diligent analysis on all types of quantum, delay and disruption claims, and his drafting untangles complex issues with precision and clarity. Mr. Chaudhri’s advice to counsel and clients has proven to be invaluable at all stages of dispute, but particularly with respect to claim formation, disclosure, witness evidence, and the cross examination of other experts.

Mr. Chaudhri regularly provides live project support, during all stages of the life cycle, advising contractors, consultants, and employers on matters of quantum, delay, and disruption. His support has resulted in the recovery of challenging circumstances on several occasions. His excellent communication skills result in the development of strong relationships with stakeholders and through these relationships, he often successfully directs investigation, with close support from the project team.

Mr. Chaudhri has so far been involved with over 30 projects. He has worked on projects throughout the United Kingdom, Germany, Denmark, Poland, Rwanda, Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Qatar. He has experience in a wide variety of sectors, including property (prime residential and commercial developer), life sciences, healthcare, leisure, information technology, natural resources (mining), renewable energy and power, and capital infrastructure (rail, highways, bridges). He has been appointed as delay expert on a matter at the TCC and as quantum expert at adjudication.

He holds a BSc (Hons) degree from the University of Reading in Construction Management and Quantity Surveying, and an MSc in Construction Law & Arbitration from Kings College London. He is a published author in the Construction Law Journal and RICS Modus Magazine, and he regularly provides lectures.
