Maartje Janse

Maartje Janse is an experienced professional in impact innovation and sustainable fashion, currently serving as the Impact Fund manager at SECRID, where the focus is on supporting designers who promote positive change. Previously, Maartje held the role of Impact Innovation Specialist at Impact Hub Amsterdam, fostering collaborations for impact innovation. Experience includes serving as Creative Lab Coordinator and product developer at Makers Unite, facilitating training programs for creatives with refugee backgrounds, and consulting for the Culture.Fashion project initiated by the Ministry of Culture. Maartje's background also encompasses a graduate internship at MVO Nederland focusing on circular economy in textiles, teaching various workshops related to fashion and material design, co-founding a sustainable fashion collective, and working as a fashion designer for BRAEZ. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design from ArtEZ University, a Master's degree in Cultural Economics & Entrepreneurship from Erasmus University Rotterdam, and ongoing studies in Leadership for Change.
