Tim O'Brien, MBA, CPA, CMA, CFM, AINS has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Tim started their career as a Staff Accountant at Engelson and Associates from October 1994 to May 1997, where they audited various entities and performed accounting and tax tasks.

Afterwards, they worked at Midwest Security Insurance Companies as a Financial Work Director for Midwest Security Administrators from May 1997 to September 1999, responsible for financial reporting and managing the finance staff. Tim then became the Financial Work Director for Corporate Finance from September 1999 to September 2002, where they were accountable for financial reporting of the parent/holding company and its subsidiaries.

In September 2002, O'Brien joined SECURA Insurance as an Accounting Manager, responsible for monthly financial reporting and managing the accounting staff. Tim continued to grow within the company and served as a Senior Financial Analyst from July 2004 to September 2008. In this role, they contributed to strategic planning and coordinated annual financial forecasts and expense targets.

In September 2008, O'Brien became the Manager of Financial Planning, leading SAP implementation, financial planning and analysis, and training analyst staff. Tim later served as the Assistant Controller from November 2010 to May 2017, overseeing internal financial reporting, audited financial statements, and regulatory filings.

Lastly, as of May 2017, O'Brien has been serving as the Controller at SECURA Insurance, ensuring accurate financial reporting. Tim recently assumed the role of Finance Director in May 2022.

Tim then pursued a Masters of Business Administration from the same university, completing it from 2000 to 2005. Additionally, Tim O'Brien holds the certification of Certified Public Accountant.
