Currently serving as a Consultant Cybersecurity at Secura since September 2022, René previously held the position of Consultant Privacy en Security at BDO Nederland from August 2016 to September 2022, where significant focus was placed on security organization, awareness, and ISO 27001 certification projects, primarily for larger clients in the healthcare sector. Prior to BDO, René worked at CompLions as a Business Consultant in IT Risk Management & Compliance, and held various roles at KPN, including Security Officer and Senior Business Analyst. René’s educational background includes a degree in Art Scientific Research from Utrecht University and an International Baccalaureate from the United World College of the Adriatic. With over 15 years of work experience, René specializes in bridging the gap between technology and human factors in security.
