Stephen Watanabe

Stephen Watanabe has had a long career in the technology and finance industries. From 2007 to present, they have served as the Senior Account Manager for Secure Technology Hawaii, Inc., where they are responsible for bringing security, disaster recovery, and technology solutions to customers in Hawaii, Guam, and the West Coast. From 1996 to 2007, they worked for Finance Factors, Ltd., where they held the positions of VP IT Manager, VP Information Security Officer, and PC Network Manager. In these roles, they provided a strategic and tactical direction for Information Technology, developed and audited policies and procedures to ensure the bank met FDIC and GLBA requirements, and managed a team of Security Administrator, Network Administrator, Systems Analysts, and PC Technicians.

Stephen Watanabe has a diverse educational background. In 2010, they earned a Specialist of the Business Continuity Institute (SBCI) from THEBCI. From 2002 to 2006, they received a Bachelors in Management Information Systems from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Additionally, they are a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)². Stephen also holds two certifications from Proofpoint Inc, a Proofpoint Accredited Channel Sales Professional obtained in April 2019.
