Thad Trapp

Thad Trapp has a long and varied work experience. Thad began their career in 1989 as a Lieutenant Colonel in the USMC, where they were later promoted to Commanding Officer (CEO/COO). In 2005 they were appointed Director of Plans and Communication at Marine Forces Pacific, where they were awarded for superior leadership and unparalleled planning ability. In 2009 they became Director of Operations, Security at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot, where they improved cross-functional communication and reduced overall cost by $47K annually. Thad was also Adjunct Faculty - Instructor at the College of Distance Education and Training from 2009 to present. In 2013 they joined Bridgepoint Education as Vice President of Enrollment Services | Operations and Talent Development Leader. During their time there, they led budgeting process and exceeded department forecast by 1%, developed staffing plans and grew staff by 40%, and created a strategic on-boarding plan for new hires. From 2016 to 2019 they were Chief of Staff and Strategic Programs at Relias, where they implemented systems and processes that drove 20% year over year organic growth and supported over 100% overall growth. In 2019 they joined insightsoftware as Senior Vice President Global Customer Experience and Executive Chief of Staff. In 2021 they became an Independent Consultant at K1 Investment Operations and in 2022 they were appointed Chief Of Operations at SecureAuth Corporation and SVP Operations and Integration at Smarsh.

Thad Trapp has an extensive educational background. Thad obtained a BA in Strategic Management from the University of North Texas between 1986 and 1989. Thad then went on to receive an MS in Management from the Florida Institute of Technology in 2004. In 2002, they obtained a PMP Certification from the Defense Acquisition University in Acquisitions and Contracting. In 2010 and 2011, Thad attended the Air War College. Thad then obtained a Masters from the Marine Corps School of Advanced Warfighting in 2004 and 2005 in Operational Science. Thad also has a Masters of Science from the Marine Command and Staff College in Operational Science. In addition, Thad has obtained several certifications, including a Situational Leadership Trainer from Ken Blanchard Companies in 2013, National Incident Management System Certified from FEMA in 2009, TS/SCI Clearance from DONCAF in 2012, DiSC Trainer from Inscape Publishing, and Program Management Professional (PMP) from Program Management Institute.
