Michelle Pierce has over six years of work experience. In 2019, they began working as the Content Marketing Manager for SecurEdge Networks, where they crafted the most high-performing blog in company history, created multiple training and certification courses, and collaborated with the CEO in writing product documentation and designing graphics. From 2014 to 2017, they were the Director of Marketing & Fundraising for The Ray Pierce Scholarship, where they built successful fundraising campaigns, established the charity's EIN tax identification number and bank account, and designed scholarship cover letters and award certificates. Michelle also worked as a Digital Marketing Consultant for Denver Christian Academy from 2017 to 2018, where they assisted the marketing team in the development of content calendars, social media posts, and website content to drive enrollment initiatives. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Restaurant Server for Joey's Fine Food & Pizza, where they communicated product knowledge and cultivated a positive brand image for customers. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Resident Assistant for Appalachian State University Housing, where they supervised student safety in the residence halls, demonstrated organizational skills, and spearheaded community development events. In 2013, they were a News Reporter Student Intern for The Appalachian Newspaper.

Michelle Pierce attended Appalachian State University from 2013 to 2016, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in English. Prior to that, they attended Catawba Valley Community College from 2011 to 2012, where they earned an Associate's Degree in General Education.
