Mindi McDowell

Mindi McDowell is a seasoned Senior Technical Writer/Editor with extensive experience in the field of communication and documentation. Currently serving in the Counter Threat Unit at Secureworks since October 2011, Mindi previously held the role of Senior Writer/Editor at CERT within the Software Engineering Institute at Carnegie Mellon University from 1999 to 2011, where Mindi specialized in addressing communication needs for a prominent computer security organization. Prior to that, Mindi contributed to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest Pennsylvania as a Development/Communications Assistant, establishing essential functions in event planning, public relations, and training. Mindi holds a BA in English from Mercyhurst University, an MA in Professional Writing from Carnegie Mellon University, and a certification in Instructional Technology from Carlow University.
