Chris Pierson

Chris Pierson is the Founder and CEO of BLACKCLOAK, a pioneer in Digital Executive Protection, providing comprehensive digital safety solutions for executives. Pierson serves as a Distinguished Fellow at the Ponemon Institute, a prominent think tank in privacy and cybersecurity. Additional roles include National Advisory Board Member for SecureWorld and Board Advisor at Viewpost, where Pierson was also Chief Security Officer and General Counsel. Previous positions include serving on the Data Privacy and Integrity Advisory Committee at the US Department of Homeland Security and as Chief Privacy Officer at the Royal Bank of Scotland Group. Pierson has extensive legal and cybersecurity expertise, having practiced as an attorney at Lewis and Roca LLP and led initiatives within the Arizona Department of Homeland Security. Academic credentials include a Bachelor's and Master's Degree from Boston College, a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law.
