Valery Vermeulen

Valery Vermeulen has extensive experience in the fields of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and data science, currently serving as an AI and ML Engineer at Securex since September 2005. In addition to this role, Valery is actively involved in academia as a guest lecturer at several institutions, including the Interfaculty ArtScience of the Royal Conservatoire and the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague, and the University of Antwerp, among others. Valery also founded and directed the EMO-Synth project, which explores the intersection of music, emotion, and artificial intelligence, and has held various visiting and project management roles within the arts and technology domain. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Mathematics from Ghent University and a Master's in Music Production from the Royal Conservatory of Ghent.
