Jon Thompson

Jon Thompson, CFA has a strong background in finance and investment analysis. Jon has over 30 years of work experience with various companies, including Securian Asset Management, Securian Financial Group, Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America, and Deloitte & Touche.

At Securian Asset Management, Jon held roles as Vice President in both Fixed Income and Structured Finance departments. In these positions, they were responsible for identifying and analyzing investment opportunities, reviewing offering documents and rating agency reports, and utilizing analytical tools for cashflow forecasts and scenario analysis.

Prior to that, Jon worked as an Equity Analyst at Securian Asset Management, where they conducted equity research and analyzed investment opportunities in large and small capitalization public companies.

Before joining Securian, Jon worked at Securian Financial Group as a Senior Investment Accountant, supervising and preparing accounting and reporting for various portfolios including collateralized mortgage obligations, structured products, real estate, and venture capital.

Jon also gained valuable experience at Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America, where they served as a Senior Business/Financial Analyst and played a key role in international scholarship business. Jon was involved in management transition in Canada, conducted due diligence and project management for partnership venture in Mexico.

Jon started their career at Deloitte & Touche as an Auditor/Senior Auditor, where they gained valuable auditing experience.

Jon Thompson, CFA obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree with a double major in Business Administration/Accounting and Computer Science from Concordia College, which they attended from 1981 to 1985. Jon also holds additional certifications including a CFA designation, obtained in 1997, and an inactive CPA designation, obtained in 1986.
