Karen A. Leighton

Karen joined Securian Financial in 1986 as part of our management development program. For the next several years, she managed teams within Group Insurance.

In 2005, Karen began managing our internal consulting team and Management Development Center. She was promoted to director of Management Services in 2007, second vice president in 2009 and vice president of corporate services in 2018. Her contributions to the company have also included co-leading our operational excellence process improvement initiatives.
