Katia Walsh

Katia Walsh is a board member at Securian Financial Group. Katia previously served on the Transformation and Innovation Advisory Board for UniCredit from January 2019 to August 2021. In this role, they were one of four global experts on digital, data, AI, and cybersecurity who advised UniCredit on identifying and developing transformative initiatives. Walsh also served on the Digital Advisory Board for River Island from June 2018 to March 2019. In addition, they were a strategy advisor for Fellowship.AI from July 2017 to April 2019.

Katia Walsh has a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Missouri-Columbia in Strategic Communication with a quantitative methodology specialization. Katia also has a Master of Arts from Indiana University Bloomington in The Media School (Research Track). In addition, they have Media Management and Entrepreneurship and News Writing and Editing certificates from the Poynter Institute. Finally, they have a Master's degree from Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs.
