Mika Mäkelä

Mika Mäkelä currently serves as the Head of Emergency Services at Kilpilahti for Securitas Suomi since October 2025, providing emergency response readiness and training services tailored to the chemical industry. An entrepreneur at Segure since January 1998, Mika focuses on practical and engaging training services. Past experiences include leading emergency services at Neste Oyj from April 2020 to September 2025 and holding various positions at Länsi-Uudenmaan pelastuslaitos from May 1995 to March 2020, including Fire Officer and Sub-Officer. Mika has also contributed to the development and management of the national fire department training system with The Finnish National Rescue Association from February 2008 to December 2019. Educational qualifications include certifications in pedagogy, a Master of Engineering degree in Industrial Service Business, and a Bachelor's degree in Fire Officer Training.
