Clarence Shen

Clarence Shen is a Manager in the Fintech unit at the Securities and Futures Commission, focusing on crypto laws and regulations since December 2021. Prior to this role, Clarence served as an Associate at King & Wood Mallesons, specializing in dispute resolution, particularly in commercial disputes, insolvency, and competition law from September 2017 to December 2021. Clarence completed a training contract with four seats in investment funds, equity capital markets, dispute resolution, and aviation finance. Earlier experience includes operations at Uber and a role as an Investment Banking Summer Analyst at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where responsibilities involved equity capital markets, debt capital markets, and mergers & acquisitions. Clarence holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from The University of Hong Kong and has also studied laws at Monash University.
