Johnathan Coleman, CISSP, brings extensive experience in health information technology and security, with a career spanning over three decades. Beginning with military service in the British Army, Coleman transitioned into program management at WareOnEarth Communications and further honed expertise at the Software Engineering Institute/CERT at Carnegie Mellon University focusing on risk management. Coleman has played significant roles within the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC), including serving as Health IT Program Manager and Initiative Coordinator for various standards and interoperability initiatives. As of 2024, Coleman serves as Co-Chair of the HL7 Security Working Group and CISO for The Sequoia Project’s TEFCA RCE, while continuing to operate a consulting business specializing in Information Security Risk Management. Coleman holds a BEng in Aeromechanical Systems Engineering from the Royal Military College of Science and a BEng from the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst.
